Flared Tubing Assemblies

Diba’s flared tubing assemblies are used to provide fluid connections for your analytical instrument. If you require sample, reagent, wash, waste or other types of lines, simply tell us your requirements and Diba will provide you with working samples to evaluate and help you to correctly specify flared tubing assemblies.

Fluid connections in analytical instruments can be a source of difficulty. Hazardous fluids, chemical or biological, must be processed without leaks. Proper connections assure you of leak free operation and minimize dead (or unswept) volumes. Proper connections also help to eliminate or minimize carryover problems.

Worksheets are provided in this chapter to assist you in specifying flared tubing assemblies. They help you to specify the material, tubing I.D. (Inside Diameter), and tubing O.D. (Outside Diameter) for both Single Flare (One End) Tubing Assemblies and Double Flare (Both Ends) Tubing Assemblies. Additionally, Single Flare Tubing assemblies can be specified with reduced diameter nozzle tips. Double Flare Tubing Assemblies can be specified with reduced diameter sections. This can be particularly useful in controlling flow characteristics.

Standard thread size fittings accommodate a range of tubing materials and sizes. 1/4-28, 10-32, and M6—1 Metric thread sizes are available.

Thermoformed Flared Tubing Assemblies are available to meet your specifications. Fluoropolymer tubing is formed with the necessary bends to fit your packaging requirements. This prevents kinking during installation and operation.

Standard fittings are designed to work with standard tubing outside diameters of 1/16 through 1/8 inches. Diba also works with larger tubing diameter sizes. Call Technical Support for information.
